-Male from Arkansas Class rank: Top 20% (public high school; 600 kids) Unweighted GPA: 3.20 Weighted GPA: 3.30 3 AP's taken: Physics, Computer Science, and Stat (I will only send my Stat score, which I got a 4 on) SAT: 2050 (700 Math) EC's: I was in a few clubs (held no positions though, lol), played high school baseball, spent a lot of time taking care of my special needs little brother, babysitting, a little volunteer work, no work experience (I couldn't get a job because of my little brother). Essay: I will put a lot of time into my essay, I've read books giving tips on how to avoid 'dry' and 'overused' topics, and I am sure my essay will be at least in the top 5% of, I guess, the nation. It might also be worth noting that I have an upward trend in my grades. My freshman year I had about a 3.30. And then my sophomore year was a joke with less than a 2.80. My junior year was better, at around a 3.30. And my senior year will be better than a 3.70. I made a B and A in AP Physics, two A's in Physical Science (in the 9th grade), an A and C in AP Computer Science, and I've taken honors math courses since the 8th grade. And this is probably important. I have NOT taken chemistry before. Purdue's website says chemistry is 'required'... Here's the link: Purdue University - Subject Matter Expectations So...?
